What we do

SVC‑01

Annual Certification & Tagging

California requires annual maintenance by a state-licensed company. We inspect, service, and tag every unit so you pass your fire inspection the first time.

SVC‑02

Recharge & Refill

Discharged unit? Lost pressure? We break it down, recharge it, and put it back in service — with a full teardown, not a top-off.

SVC‑03

6‑Year Internal Maintenance

Required at year six: stored-pressure units emptied, examined inside and out, and put back in service. Units that reach their 12-year hydro date get flagged and replaced so nothing lapses.

SVC‑04

Sales & Replacement

The right class, size, and count for your square footage. New extinguishers delivered, mounted, tagged, and ready for inspection.

SVC‑05

Mounting & Signage

Location and signage are part of the California Fire Code, not an add-on. Every unit within 75 feet of travel, properly mounted, clearly visible — with signs installed wherever sight lines are blocked. Included with every service.

SVC‑06

Vehicle & Fleet Service

Extinguishers for work trucks, forklifts, vans, and vehicle fleets — inspected, tagged, and serviced on-site at your yard so nothing leaves the lot out of date.

What California requires

Fire extinguisher maintenance isn't optional — it's state law, and the fire marshal checks the tag. Here's the schedule every California business is held to.

Placement is code too. It's not just the extinguisher — it's where and how it hangs:

  • At least one 2A:10B:C rated unit per 1,500 sq ft
  • No more than 75 ft of travel from any point in the building
  • Mounted, unobstructed, top of unit no higher than 5 ft
  • Marked with signage where the view is blocked

Not sure where you stand? Josh will walk your building, count what you need, and tell you straight — no upsell.

Meet Josh Guerriera

When you call Lifeline, you get Josh — not a call center, not a franchise, not a sales quota. Just the best fire extinguisher service in the South Bay.

Lifeline is a local, owner-operated small business based in the South Bay, founded in March 2019 and fully licensed by the California State Fire Marshal. Josh has been in the fire extinguisher trade for more than 15 years and does the work himself: full teardowns, recharges, new installs, mounting, tagging, and the signage that keeps inspectors happy. He answers fast, shows up when he says he will, and every job ends with an itemized invoice — the code requires it, and it's how he'd want to be treated.

The big outfits let tags lapse between visits. Josh doesn't. Every unit he services is tagged, dated, and on his calendar for next year — so you're never the one finding out at inspection time.

From single storefronts to warehouses and vehicle fleets, if it holds pressure and puts out fires, Josh services it.
